A Message About Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Dear Aquatech Management Clients and Employees,
As a Swimming Pool Management Company operating out of West Babylon, NY, we wanted to
reach out to you, our community, as you have become valued customers. This is a difficult time
and we are deeply concerned for all of our customers and loyal employees.
We continue to monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation as it develops and adhere to guidelines
and updates from the WHO, CDC and New York State Government.
There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and hot
tubs. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine and bromine) of
pools and hot tubs should eradicate or deactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.
But for everyone’s safety, Aquatech Management of Long Island is conducting daily testing of
the pool water for pH and disinfectant levels at intervals throughout the operating schedule of
the pool (minimally 3 times per day) and maintain a regular cleansing regime to ensure that the
water quality complies with the Environmental Public Health Regulations at all times.
Users of swimming pools, on the other hand, are directed to observe good public hygiene
practices such as showering before entering the pool to remove impurities typically found on
bodies, and to not spit into the pool. “If you’re unwell, please avoid using the pool.”
We have prioritized and maintained the highest levels of cleanliness, sanitation and safety. In
addition to our standard sanitation procedures we are also taking additional proactive
measures at Aquatech Management of Long Island to keep our community as healthy as
possible including:
• Meticulous cleaning and sanitation in areas with high points of contact
Our office remains open for business. As this is a developing situation, if there is any change to
this, we will inform you by email.
We urge all of you to take the precautions recommended by your state and local health care
officials which include frequent and thorough washing of hands, avoiding touching your face,
staying home if you feel sick, and covering any cough or sneeze.
We wish everyone good health and peace during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Aquatech Management of Long Island, Inc.
